TechOlympics Expo

Tech-minded teens got the chance to compete against each other and learn about local career opportunities at a three-day event produced by MPG for the INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati. Nearly 300 students from 39 regional high schools converged on the Millennium Hotel for a bonanza of video game face-offs, high-tech demos, and breakout sessions. The goal: to get talented young people excited about high-tech jobs in the Cincinnati area.

MPG was responsible for planning and production of the three-day event, including:

  • Coordinating logistics and sponsorships for a trade show featuring companies such as Kroger, Procter & Gamble, Microsoft, Motorola, IBM and AT&T
  • Décor, logistics, staging and production support for all activities in the main ballroom, including keynotes
  • Creating the Bing Lounge, the ultimate teen hangout stocked with bean bag chairs, arcade games, billiards, air hockey, ping pong and an internet café
  • Planning and facilitating meals, hotel rooms and other amenities for attendees
  • Production support for all break-out sessions
  • On-site registration of all attendees
  • Working closely with IT partners to establish a dedicated network and other support needed to enable the weekend’s activities
